1. Tell us a bit about your background in the materials handling industry.

A: I have been in the materials handling industry for approximately 9.5 years. I started out with Sherrin Hire, responsible for the Tele Handler & Travel Tower Market in NSW. Over recent years I joined Hiab Australia (Cargotec) as their NSW Sales Representative for the Moffett Truck Mounted Forklift, working my way into a national role as Moffett Truck Mounted Forklift Product Manager.

2. How long have you been at Adaptalift Hyster?

A: I joined Adaptalift Hyster on the 1st of July 2011.

3. What is the most challenging part of your job?

A: Being new to the big truck industry, the most challenging part of my role is starting from the outside of a large niche market trying to knock on the right doors. Ensuring I provide the best solution for our customers’ needs. 

4. How does working with Big Trucks differ to other types of materials handling equipment?

A: The room for error in Big Trucks is minuscule so diligence to site evaluations and product spec is paramount. Listening to customer needs and never assuming, as that can be costly in more ways than one. 

5. What makes Hyster Big Trucks stand out from the competition?

A: That’s easy, Hyster “Big, Tough, Strong” it speaks for itself really.

6. Do you have a favorite big truck? If so, why?

A: Again being new to this side of the industry, the full range of Hyster Big Trucks is very impressive, the technology and quality make all Hyster Big Trucks my favorite.

7. What is the most important piece of advice you would give someone who is in the market for a big truck?

A: Compare apples with apples; always remember the investment in a big truck needs to be based on reliability not only in the product but the team behind the product.

8. What innovations and advancements in the industry are you most excited about?

A: The full Hyster Big Trucks range, including advancements in safety, comfort (Vista cab), axle tech tyre saving technology, tier 4 engines providing our customers with great fuel savings. That’s a bonus in any language. 

9. Where do you see the big truck industry 10 years from now?

A: NSW sales in Hyster Big Trucks being number 1 again and again.

10. If you could sum up Hyster Big Trucks in one word, what would it be?

A: Quality
