1. Tell us a bit about yourself and your role at Adaptalift Hyster.

I have worked in the forklift industry admin area most of my working life.  My role as bookkeeper has proved to be the most interesting yet. Being responsible for the timely processing of all things ‘accounting’ is something I have always enjoyed.

I have lived in Adelaide for over 10 years originally moving from Tasmania.  I have two children, Matthew & Allison and four beautiful grandchildren, twin boys, Joseph & Tyrie here in Adelaide and twin girls, Nina & Lulu in Melbourne.

2. How long have you been here with us at Adaptalift Hyster?

I have been with Adaptalift Hyster since mid-2009.

3. Tell us a bit about the team and people you work with.

We have a friendly and cohesive team in SA.  We all try to work together to the same end – satisfying the customer and at the same time making a profit for the company.

4. What is the most challenging or rewarding part of your job?

At month end seeing the ‘figures’ balance and knowing the team has continuously put in their best efforts.

5. What is something interesting about your job that not many people would know about?

Liaising with the National accountants, growing relationships and learning new skills in the accounting area.

6. What are some of the biggest changes you have witnessed whilst being with the company?

Growing our sales team to promote the Hyster brand is the main focus.

7. Where do you see Adaptalift Hyster in 10 years from now?

This company will be, if we are not already, the major player in the forklift industry in this country having pushed the Hyster brand to the nth degree. With well-equipped/trained sales & service teams there is no reason why we shouldn’t be able to ‘takeover the market’.
Maybe the ‘wholesale’ area will come in to play in the future.

8. If you could sum up Hyster in one word, what would it be?

Evolving
